Herzilch Wilkommen in Östereich!! (Welcome to Austria)
Today we slept in a little later. We left at 10 am to start our four hour journey to the the city of Vienna and the beautiful schönbrunn castle, where we had a picnic for lunch and enjoyed the beautiful gardens. After lunch we visited the 40 of the 1441 rooms avaliable to the public for viewing.
We all liked the audio tour that enabled us to listen at our own pace.
After the palace we arrived at the hotel and had two hours of free time, most of us spent time in the pool.
We ate a typical Austrian dinner that included wiener schnitzels. To celebrate our gorgeous birthday girl Sophie we ate birthday cake for dessert and sang 'happy birthday'. We talked about our day tomorrow and some of us went back to the pool or played cards in the lobby of the nice hotel where we are staying for the next two nights.
Today was an excellent mix of sightseeing and relaxation.
