DAY 4: CITY TOUR IN BERLIN!

Liebe Freunde herzlich Wilkommen in Deutschland!!
(Dear friends welcome to Germany!!)
1st group picture of the day!

We just finished one amazing day! We rejuvenated ourselves with a delicious breakfast. After that, we met Franciska, she was our first tour guide of the day. Our first stop was at The Berlin Wall which we didn’t expect to be painted in such a modern way, for example the two politicians kissing.

We walked together to the Humboldt University and we saw the Law Faculty. Before going to Check Point Charlie, we passed by the Concert House which actually looks really fancy!!

Martin (Ecuador) posing in front of the Berlin Cathedral.

We finally got to the Check Point Charlie which was the third point on the wall where you could cross the border. We entered in a really interesting museum, it was quite sad because we saw how terrible things really used to be.

After lunch we went to the Alexanderplatz in the afternoon. The most exciting part came when we entered into the parliament (SUCH A MODERN AND NICE BUILDING!!). There we had one of the most amazing views of the city!!!

A happy group getting up to the Reichstag's Dome.

After this unique visit, we walked passed a gay parade towards the memorial for the murdered Jews. Despite the terrible history that is attached to this memorial, it is nice to see that the Berliners have dedicated such a special place to never forget the Holocaust.

Our guide for the afternoon Inken then took us for a walking tour around West Berlin to sites like the area of Hitler’s bunker and the Ministry of Finance.

At around 6 pm we concluded at the restaurant where we had a typical Bavarian meal.
Afterwards we quickly drove to the Hard Rock Cafe for some Berlin style souvenirs. With the mixture of history and fun we finished an extraordinary day in the beautiful city of berlin.
